Research shows on Super Bowl Sunday Americans will eat 1.35 billion chicken wings, 71.4 million pounds of avocados, 45.8 million pounds of potato chips, 43.2 million pounds of tortilla chips, 13.2 million pounds of pretzels, and order more than 4.4 million pizzas from Domino’s, Papa Johns and Pizza Hut. That is just crazy!

 

There is no way around the fact that Super Bowl parties are a HUGE challenge for those trying to live a healthy lifestyle! Your mindset is the key! Try and think ahead about what choices you will make. Maybe you will try to fill your plate with healthy options to make room for your favorite dessert? Or maybe you will eat before you go. When you have an unofficial American holiday that is celebrated by eating, you just have to think about the difference between indulging and overindulging.
